Wall clock projector

Intended use
The product is intended for projecting the time via an integrated lens system e. g. on a wall or
a ceiling.
Only for use indoors in closed, dry rooms, the product must not get wet or damp.
The integrated quartz clock is battery powered (AA/mignon), the light unit for the projector is
powered by the power supply unit enclosed.
Use, other than that described above, can damage the product and may involve additional risks
such as short circuits, fire and electric shocks. No part of the product should be modified or
reassembled. The safety instructions must be observed at all times.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All
names of companies and products are the trademarks of the respective owner. All rights re-
served.

Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The war-
ranty will be void in such cases.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The design of the mains transformer complies with protection class II. As for the
voltage source for the mains transformer, only a proper power socket connected
to the public grid may be used. For the permitted operating voltage for the mains
adapter, please refer to the chapter "Technical Data" at the end of this operating
manual.
• The power socket for the power supply unit must be located in the vicinity of the
projection clock and easily accessible.
• Never plug in, or remove, the power unit when your hands are wet!
• The product must not get damp or wet, it is only intended for use in dry, indoor
locations.
Further, protect the product from direct solar radiation, strong heat, cold, dust and
dirt, splashes and dripping water, vibrations or mechanical loads.
• If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), con-
densation may develop. This could damage the product. Furthermore, this might
cause a lethal electric shock!
Therefore, you should allow the product to warm up to room temperature before
using it or connecting the power adapter to an electric socket. This may take seve-
ral hours.
• Do not operate the product if it is damaged.
If the power supply unit is damaged, do not touch it. First disconnect the associ-
ated power socket at all phases (disconnect associated circuit breaker or remove
the fuse, then disconnect the FI circuit breaker) and then pull the power socket
carefully out of the power socket. Unplug the power supply unit from the device.
Do not on any account use this product with a damaged power supply unit! There
is a serious danger of an electric shock!
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the power supply and the switch during
operation. Do not cover the units with newspapers, sheets, curtains or similar.
Keep a minimumdistance of about 5 cm from other objects.

Notes on batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries away from children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by child-
ren or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause caustic burns to the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!

Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the wall clock projector by pressing the release
key (4) and simultaneously pulling the battery compartment cover off, as shown on the illust-
ration below.
• Insert a battery of type AA/mignon with the correct polarity (pay attention to +/Plus and -/
Minus).
• Before you insert and lock the battery compartment cover again, set the time first, see infor-
mation in the following chapters.
• The battery needs replaced if, within a short period, the clock has very inaccurate or does not
working any longer.
• Do not look into the projector, and do not point the projector at persons or animals.
The bright, concentrated light may lead to eye injuries!
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the
dangers involved when handling electrical devices.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employerís
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the operation of
the product is to be supervised by trained employees.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely
connect it, consult a trained technician.
• If questions arise which are not answered in these operating instructions, please
contact our technical support or another specialist.
The clock can also be operated using rechargeable batteries, which however de-
creases the operating time, due to the lower voltage (battery=1.5V; rechargeable
battery=1.2V). This may also lead to accuracy deviations.
