Installation instructions and electric connecting
Read these installation and user instructions carefully. No guarantee will be allowed for wrong
installation or misuse. Please also use the instructions supplied with the tubular motor Neo Mat and also the
user instructions 5AP 904 (Thule Omnistor 8000 with motor 230V).
GENERAL REMARKS:
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified person.
- The motor is provided with an emergency over ride mechanism to use the awning manually in case of
no power supply or the motor is not working. See description in the user's instructions 5AP904.
IMPORTANT:
- Check before mounting that the power supply meets the specifications written in the technical motor
data (230V-260W).
- Please use the supplied relay. It prevents the awning from opening whilst driving.

1. PREPARATION OF THE MOTOR KIT
- Fix the motor (a) to the end plate (d) using the four screws DIN7985 - M6x20 (f) and the serrated lock
washers M6 (e). See fig 1.
- Drill a 5mm diameter hole into the grey limit switch crown (b). See fig. 2.
- Slide the limit switch crown on the motor and mount the black drive wheel (c) on the motor shaft (fig.
1).
2. PREPARATION OF THE AWNING
- Open the awning about 50cm.
- Remove both plastic end caps after removing the screws (fig. 3 and 4).
- Close the awning till about 10cm and secure the front profile by wrapping two straps around the awning
(fig. 5).
- Remove the right hand side (as you look at the awning) aluminium end plate (fig. 6), remove all of the
parts shown in fig 7 so that it looks as the same as figure 8 then replace the end plate .
- Remove the left hand side aluminium end plate (fig. 9).
- Remove the screw from the end cap at the left hand side of the roller tube. Press on the hinge part inside
whilst removing the end cap from the roller tube. (fig. 10 and 11).
3. INSTALLATION OF THE MOTOR
- Slide the motor with its end plate, till half way inside the roller tube (fig. 12).
- Slide the limit switch crown (b) into the tube and tighten the screw DIN7982 4.2X38 in the previously
drilled hole between the tube slot and the fabric rope in order to fix the fabric (fig. 13).
- Now slide the motor completely into the roller tube. Make sure that the two fins on the motor line up
with groove in the limit switch crown (fig. 14).
- Fix the end plate with the three screws. Ensure that the wires do not interfere (see fig. 1).
- Fix the emergency handle (i) with the screw (g) and the washer (h) to the end plate (fig. 15).
