Installation and assembly
In case of a fault, e.g. the built-in safety limiter is triggered, this must be disconnected
from the voltage immediately. If the cause of the fault is located outside of the duct,
this must be corrected before recommissioning. Otherwise, contact the distributor of
the heating duct, since recommissioning is prohibited in this case.
5.2. Installation in the air duct
The duct heater may be installed in the air duct horizontally or vertically.
In case of horizontal assembly, installation with the electronic housing pointing
downwards is prohibited. Possible condensate in the ventilation system can otherwise
penetrate the housing and cause damage to the electronics.
Basically, a minimum clearance to the fans of min. 1 m should be maintained. In case
of cover flaps, pipe elbows, sensors, etc., clearance should be min. 0.5 m. If this
clearance is not maintained, the air flow may not be warmed homogeneously, which
may lead to incorrect measurements by sensors.
In case of installation in the air duct, only standard counterpieces DN125 (female)
featuring corresponding surrounding seals may be used. The duct heater may be
attached onto this. Further fastening using screws or corresponding teeth on the
counterpiece is not planned and is not permitted. In case plastic tubes are used,
corresponding temperature resistance of these must be ensured and measurements in
the installation may need to be checked
When positioning the duct heater, make sure that it is freely accessible for
possible inspection and replacement purposes
