Warnings
• Check that seals between the appliance and the gas canister are in place and in good condition before connecting the gas
canister.
• Do not use the canister if it has damaged or worn seals.
• Do not use a canister which is leaking, damaged or which does not operate properly.
• The Cobb Gas must be operated on a flat horizontal surface.
• The Cobb Gas must be used away from flammable materials at least 1m from adjacent surfaces (wall, ceiling etc.)
• Use outdoors only.
• If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas),take it outside immediately into a well ventilated flame free location where
the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside, away from people. Do
not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water.
• CAUTION: accessible parts (e.g. The Dome Cover), may become very hot. Keep children away from the appliance.
• Do not modify the Cobb Gas or gas canister in any way.
• Do not store or make use of any flammable liquids or vapours in the vicinity of the Cobb Gas.
• CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD— Using this appliance in an enclosed space may cause death. Do not use in caravans, tents,
marine craft, cars, mobile homes or similar locations.
• Check the seals before connecting a new gas container to the appliance. Change the gas container outside and away from
people.
• Do not tamper with the inner parts or convert any component on the Cobb Gas.
• Always keep your Cobb Gas clean.
• Do not pour liquid into the Inner Sleeve while still hot.
• Do not leave hot fat or oil unattended on the Cobb Gas as this could create a fire hazard.
• Should a fire (grease, oil etc.) occur, turn off all burners and leave Dome Cover closed until fire is out.
• The Cobb Gas can be a potential fire hazard if not handled with care.
• Do not tamper with, or remove the canister while in use.
• Please carefully follow the assembly and fitting instructions in this manual.
• The Cobb Gas must be disconnected from the appliance after use or when in storage.
• Do not store a spare or disconnected gas canister under or near this grill.
• Use the Cobb Gas only for its intended purpose.
• After a period of storage the Cobb Gas should be checked for gas leaks.
• Should the burners go out while in operation, immediately turn the regulator knob to the "off" position. Open the dome lid
and wait 5 minutes before attempting to ignite. Please refer to igniting instructions in this manual.
• Keep the cooking area clear of flammable vapours and liquids such as gasoline, alcohol and combustible materials.
• The Cobb Gas is not to be connected to a refillable canister. This unit is to be used with a disposable canister only.
• Ensure all 3 grommets are in place before, during and after cooking.
• Do not attempt to disconnect the gas regulator or any gas fitting while your grill is in operation.
• A dented or rusty canister may be hazardous and should be checked by your gas supplier.
• Although your canister may appear to be empty, gas may still be present. The canister should be transported and stored
accordingly.
• Exercise caution when using the Cobb Gas. High temperatures will be achieved during cooking. Your Cobb Gas should not
be left unattended or moved while in use.
• The Cobb Gas is designed to run on the specified gas canisters only. Do not use briquettes, wood or Cobblestones on your
Cobb Gas.
• Never lean over/reach directly over the unit while cooking as high temperatures will be experienced.
• Never place hands on the metallic sections of the Dome Cover, black Top Ring or on the underside of the unit while
operational as these will be hot and injury may occur.
• After every use, once cooled, the Cobb Gas must be cleaned thoroughly.
• When cleaning the valves/burners take caution to ensure you do not enlarge any ports or orifices.
• Butane/Propane is not a natural gas. Using a natural gas on your Cobb Gas is dangerous and this will void
your warranty.
