Use a canister of butane or propane equipped with a 28mbar
butane or 37mbar propane valve. Check this is indicated on the
gas canister regulator. It should not be used with natural gas.
Close the canister faucet. Use a length of hose from the valve to
the fridge valve. A pipe clamp must be used to connect the hose
to the end fittings. Check the connections are leak proof using
soapy water. Do not run the fridge in case of poor leak tightness.
Close the gas canister faucet when the fridge is out of service.
The fridge is equipped with an end fitting which is compatible with
hoses under French and Spanish standards:
"French" assembly
"Spanish" assembly
The fridge gas switch (to the right) combines the spark ignition
device with the temperature control.
If the flame blows out, a safety device automatically cuts the gas
off.
Open the gas canister faucet, press down the fridge gas switch
for about twenty seconds (to purge the air contained in the
system and tubes) and turn, keeping the switch pushed down,
several times to the right. Ensure that the pilot light is on, wait
another twenty seconds or so and release the switch on
maximum.
In case it doesn't turn on, begin the operation anew.
In case of difficulties in turning it on (such as intense humidity) it
is possible to light the pilot directly from behind the fridge with a
match through the visible orifice. Don't forget to keep the switch
pressed down for about twenty seconds.
To stop the appliance, turn off the gas canister faucet and bring the
switch back to the press position.
