Installation/Connection
Before you start installing and connecting, observe the information in
chapter "Preparation for installation"!
• First, remove the lower bottom lid. It is fi xed to the lamp with screws.
• The lid can be fi xed with the three supplied concrete anchors. Alternatively, you can
also mount it with 3 appropriate screws and dowels (not contained in the delivery), if
you do not want to use the concrete anchors.
Caution!
Make sure that present cables or pipes are not damaged when drilling the
mounting holes or screwing tight.

Screw each nut onto one concrete anchor (approx. 45 mm). Then, the three concrete
anchors have to be screwed into the sub frame (A). This ensures that later the screws
will have the correct distance to each other so that the bottom lid can be attached to
the concrete anchors.
Position the bottom lid (B). Then, each of the 3 concrete anchors must be screwed
tight with a snap ring, a washer and a nut (C) and (D).
• Make sure that the sub frame is aligned vertically when concreting. Furthermore,
you must make sure that the bottom lid lies fl at on the bottom surface and does not
create an unaesthetic gap.
• A special cable connector is contained in the delivery for connecting the lamp to the
mains voltage.
When installed correctly, it is protected according to IP68 (see imprint on cable con-
nector).
The three cables of the feeder (N, L, PE/protective earth conductor) are connected to
the respective cables of the lamp with three cable clamps inside the cable connec-
tor.
Observe the correct allocation of the colours (blue = N, black/brown = L, green/yellow
= protective earth/PE).
The protective earth wire must be connected! If your supply does not have a
protective earth, a new supply must be laid! If no protective earth is available,
faults may give rise to a danger of a lethal electric shock! Furthermore, you not
only endanger yourself, but others too!
In case of doubt, ask a technician (e.g, electrician) do not carry out mounting
and installation on your own!

• Place the light on the bottom plate; taking care that the connecting cable is not
crushed. Attach the light to the bottom plate with the screws.
Important: When placing the light on the bottom plate, the holes/threads in the
light must match the screw holes in the bottom plate; only one orientation is
correct!
Inserting/replacing the bulb
Attention!
Before you replace a faulty bulb, wait until the faulty bulb and the light have
cooled down suffi ciently. Risk of burns!
Then disconnect the light from the mains voltage; switch off at the corre-
sponding circuit breaker.
Never replace a bulb during bad weather (i.e. rain/snow).
• Remove the upper housing cover, by fi rst loosening the fastening screws.
• Insert a low-energy bulb with E27 socket (max 23 W) and screw it carefully into the
socket.
• Replace the housing cover and secure it with the screws removed earlier.
• Finally, switch on the mains power and check that the bulb is functioning.

Maintenance and Care

The light does not need any other maintenance except the replacement of the bulb.
Before cleaning, the light must be switched off; allow it to cool down suffi ciently.
The outside of the light should only be cleaned with a soft, clean cloth. Where it be-
comes very dirty, use a cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the hous-
ing could be damaged (discoloured).
Further, do not point water jets (e.g. from a high-pressure cleaner) at the Light, since
this could damage the gaskets.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Do not place faulty low-energy light bulbs in the household rubbish!
