5 Safety notes
Caution! Read these notes through carefully before connecting and starting up the
unit. The operational safety and the functioning of the unit can only be guaranteed
if the general regulations on safety and prevention of accidents of the legislator and
the safety notes in the operating instructions are observed.
1. The unit may only be used in line
with these operating instructions. We
will not be held liable for any damage
which may result from inappropriate
use or incorrect operation.
2. The voltage stated on the rating
plate must match the voltage of the
power source.
3. Only operate the unit from a socket
with a protective earthing conductor.
Never touch the power plug with wet
hands.
4. The unit must stand on a level and
firm foundation which is sufficiently sta-
ble and durable for the 140 kg approxi-
mate operating weight.
5. Do not introduce any objects into
the unit from outside the polymeriza-
tion chamber.
6. Any accessories and spare parts
used must be cleared by the manu-
facturer. We will not accept any liabil-
ity for damage incurred due to the use
of non-standard parts.
7. Do not lock the operating and safety
elements of the unit in place.

8. The good condition and operational
safety of the unit must be checked prior
to each use. If the condition is not fault
free the unit must not be used and it
must be appropriately marked.
9. The power plug must be pulled out
prior to any cleaning and maintenance
work on the unit or the exchange of
parts.
10. Signs and stickers must be kept in
legible condition and they must not be
removed.
11. Only authorized specialists may
open the unit up and carry out main-
tenance work.
12. Only nitrogen or carbon dioxide
may be used as protective gases. Do
not use any flammable or poisonous
gases. Always observe the general
regulations for safety and prevention
of accidents when handling the cho-
sen gas.
13. Only use approved gas bottles.
