Battery
Battery
The truck is fitted with two valve-regulated 12V/24 Ah batteries
connected in series. The total battery weight must comply with
the information on the truck identification plate.
• Make sure the batteries are properly secured with the battery
straps on the truck.
Replacing the battery
Procedure:
• Depress the emergency stop key.
• Remove the battery cover.
• Loosen the battery strap.
• Disconnect the battery cables from the batteries.
• Lift the batteries out of the truck.
• Install the new batteries making sure they are positioned in
the same way as the replaced batteries.
• Verify the battery polarity and then connect the battery
cables.
• Secure the batteries with the battery strap.
• Replace the battery cover.
• Turn the emergency stop key and pull it up to the travel posi-
tion.
• Carry out operational inspection.
Charging the battery
The truck has a built-in automatic battery charger.
• Check whether the LED on the battery cover blinks. A blink-
ing LED indicates that the batteries must be charged immedi-
ately and that the truck will stop. However, the remaining
battery voltage should be sufficient to move the truck to the
closest charging point.
• When the charge LED starts blinking, depress and then pull
up the emergency stop key and drive the truck to the closest
charging point. Perform battery charging according to the
Charging instructions (page 67).
