location use only. Keep this adapter away from rain and
moisture. Never put objects filled with liquid on top of or
close to the adapter. ● Do not disassemble or open the
cover under any circumstances. Touching live wires can

cause life-threatening electroshocks. ● The housing might
heat up during usage. Keep minimum distances around the
apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Place the adapter on a
flat heat resistant surface. ● Always disconnect mains
power when the adapter is not in use or when servicing or
maintenance activities are performed. Do not pull the
cable! ● Do not use the adapter when damage to housing
or cables is noticed. Do not attempt to service the device
yourself but contact an authorised dealer. ● Velleman nv

or damage to a connected device. ● Before connecting a
device you should make sure that both the voltage and
polarity are correct. Do not change either voltage or
polarity during operation. Contact your local dealer when
in doubt.
3. General Guidelines
● Refer to the Velleman
® Service and Quality Warranty on
www.velleman.eu. ● Keep this adapter away from dust
and extreme heat. Protect this adapter from shocks and
abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
● Familiarise yourself with the functions of the adapter
before actually using it. ● All modifications of the adapter
are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user
modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
● Only use the adapter for its intended purpose. Using the
device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
● Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this
manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will
not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or
problems. ● Always make sure the load on the adapter
does not exceed the rated output current of the power
supply (see table). Do not use this adapter with an
appliance that requires more than 90 W. Always start the
car engine before plugging the adapter in the cigarette
socket. Always switch the connected device off before
disconnecting the adapter. Never short-circuit the output
terminals. Disconnect from car socket when not in use.
4. Use
● Determine the proper connector plug (output voltage is
selected automatically according to the used plug), or use
the USB port for a fixed 5 VDC output. Make sure the
connected device complies with the selected voltage,
current and polarity! ● Insert the plug in the jack. Do not
force! ● Insert the other end of the plug in a suitable device
and plug the car plug into the car socket. An LED indicates
that the device is powered. ● Switch on the appliance.
5. Fuse
● The fuse is located inside the car plug. Simply unscrew
the tip of the plug to release the fuse. Always replace the
fuse with an identical rated fuse (15 A, fast, Ø 5 x 20 mm,
ref. FF5N).
6. Maintenance
● Disconnect the adapter from the car socket and wipe it
with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
● Do not submerge the adapter in water or any other
liquid. ● There are no user-serviceable parts inside the
adapter. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or
spare parts.

1. Inleiding

als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen,
dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het
milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen)
niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het
moet bij een gespecialiseerd
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel
naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt
brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
● Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf
8 jaar, door personen
verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek
aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder
toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die verantwoordelijk is
voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven,
hoe zij het toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn
van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel met zich
meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen.
De reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen niet
worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder toezicht
staan. ● Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Gebruik
het toestel op een droge plaats. Bescherm dit toestel tegen
regen en vochtigheid. Plaats geen objecten gevuld met
vloeistof op of naast het toestel. ● Demonteer of open dit
toestel nooit. Raak geen kabels aan die onder stroom staan
om dodelijke elektrische schokken te vermijden. ● Bij
gebruik kan de behuizing opwarmen. Houd voldoende
ruimte rondom het toestel vrij voor een goede ventilatie.
Plaats het toestel op een plat en hittebestendig oppervlak.
● Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het toestel
niet in gebruik is of voordat u het toestel reinigt. Trek niet
aan de kabel! ● Gebruik het toestel niet indien de
behuizing of de bekabeling beschadigd is. Probeer in geen
geval het toestel zelf te repareren maar contacteer uw
verdeler. ● Velleman nv is niet aansprakelijk voor schade
of verlies aan/van de software of het aangesloten toestel.
● Controleer zowel de spanning als de polariteit alvorens
een toestel aan te sluiten. Wijzig nooit de spanning of de
polariteit tijdens het gebruik. Contacteer uw verdeler
indien u vragen hebt.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
• Raadpleeg de Velleman
op www.velleman.eu. ● Bescherm dit toestel tegen stof en
extreme temperaturen.
Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel.
● Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het
gaat gebruiken. ● Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen
wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de
gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder
de garantie. ● Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het
gemaakt is. De garantie
ongeoorloofd gebruik. ● De garantie geldt niet voor schade
door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze
handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid
afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks
verband mee houden. Zorg ervoor dat de aangesloten last
de uitgangsstroom van de voeding niet overschrijdt (zie
tabel). Gebruik deze adapter niet met een toestel dat meer
dan 90 W verbruikt. Start de motor van de wagen altijd
vóór u de adapter op de sigarettenaansteker aansluit.
Schakel eerst het aangesloten toestel uit alvorens de
adapter te ontkoppelen. U mag de terminals nooit
kortsluiten. Haal de adapter uit de sigarettenaansteker
wanneer hij niet wordt gebruikt.
4. Gebruik
● Selecteer de geschikte plug (de uitgangsspanning wordt
automatisch geselecteerd volgens de gebruikte plug) of
gebruik de USB-poort voor een vaste uitgangsspanning
van 5 VDC. Zorg ervoor dat het aan te sluiten toestel
voldoet aan de geselecteerde spanning, stroom en
polariteit! ● Steek de plug in de connector. Niets forceren!
● Steek het andere uiteinde van de plug in het toestel en
koppel aan de sigarettenaansteker in de wagen. Een led
geeft aan dat het toestel gevoed wordt. ● Schakel het
toestel in.
5. Zekering
● De zekering bevindt zich in de plug. Schroef de tip van
de plug los om de zekering los te maken. Vervang de
zekering door een identiek exemplaar (15 A, snel,
Ø 5 x 20 mm, ref. FF5N).
6. Onderhoud
● Haal de adapter uit de sigarettenaansteker en reinig met
een vochtige, niet-pluizende doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of
solvent. ● Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of een
andere vloeistof. ● Er zijn geen door de gebruiker
vervangbare onderdelen in dit toestel. Contacteer uw
verdeler voor eventuele reserveonderdelen.
