EXAMPLE:
BDA2002H3 is a Chilled Water downflow unit with:
- An indicative cooling capacity of 30 Tons, series 10;
- Cooling + Electric Reheat + Humidification + Dehumidification function;
- mP3 Microprocessor control option.
Chilled water precision air conditioning
units, available in the downflow
configuration, suitable for close control high
tech environments as well as for comfort
applications.
All essential components are accessible
from the front and no side access shall be
required for servicing to allow units to be
positioned side-by-side or in a corner.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
FRAME constructed from steel tube
welded to 2 mm thick steel box section
base, painted with RAL 7021 (dark grey)
epoxy powder.
CONTOUR PANELS in 1,2 mm steel
sheet, painted with RAL 9001 (cream
colour) epoxy powder and lined with
acoustic and thermal self-estinguishing
insulation, dust and fibre-free. The front
doors shall be fixed to the frame with quick
release fasteners.
REMOVABLE INTERNAL PANELS lined
with acoustic insulation shielding all
compartments affected by the airstream in
order to:
- decrease the overall noise level;
- seal the air flow pattern even when the
front doors are opened;
- allow checks on the internal components
with the unit in operation.
FILTERS in non woven deep pleated
self-estinguishing media with an efficiency
of EU4 (doc. Eurovent 4-5), mounted on a
metal frame.
FAN SECTION
(belt driven type)
Radial fans in galvanized steel of the
double inlet type with the forward curved
blower shaft rotating in lifetime lubricated
bearings and driven by a 4-pole, class F
and IP55 motor mounted on an adjustable
base for belt tension adjustment. The
assembly shall be fully balanced and use
"TAPERLOCK" pulleys for vibration-free
operation.
AIRFLOW SENSOR to activate an alarm
in the case of low or lacking air flow.
COOLING COIL constructed of copper
tubes expanded into aluminium fins; the
large front surface coil, mounted on the
suction side of the fans to ensure uniform
air distribution, shall be mounted on a
stainless steel tray with a flexible hose to
drain the condensate.

3-WAY VALVE driven by a modulating
servomotor electronically controlled from
the microprocessor.

ELECTRODE BOILER HUMIDIFIER (in
version D or H) with modulating steam
production and with automatic control of
water salinity to ensure successful
operation on virtually any untreated water
supply.

recommendations of IEC, housed in a
compartment isolated from the air stream
and including:
- 24 V control circuit transformer;
- safety screen for all mains voltage
components;
- mains isolator mechanically interlocked
with the safety screen;
- miniature circuit breakers;
- contactors.
MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL to
provide highly accurate real-time control of
the environmental conditions, at the same
time providing an exhaustive display of all
operating parameters as well as any fault
conditions

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
FRESH AIR FILTER to be connected to a
source of fresh air via flexible ducting.
HIGHER EFFICIENCY FILTER in non
woven self-estinguishing media with an
efficiency of EU5 (doc. Eurovent 4-5),
mounted on a metal frame.
HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE (± 25 mm, 200
mm minimum) MOUNTING FRAME for
installations on a raised floor, complete
with rubber isolator pads.
SUCTION PLENUM, lined with acoustic
insulation, to connect the top of the unit
with the ceiling or the ductwork when
return air is ducted; height: 600mm.
SOUND

COOLING CAPACITY LIMITING DEVICE
IN THE DEHUMIDIFICATION CYCLE with
a two-position auxiliary valve closing the
water flow in a portion of the cooling coil
when the air temperature reaches a lower
limit.

stand to prevent backdraught when the
fans are not in operation (min. net floor
height: 350 mm).
