HOW TO DETERMINE THE HIGHEST APPLICABLE CATEGORY OF THE
Consider the volume, the pressure PS and the usable fluids in the nameplate:
PRESSURE
VOLUME
Multiply the volume (L) by the pressure PS (bar)
n = V * PS
In order to find the highest applicable category compare n with the values in the table below
n < 25
25< n <50
50< n <200
200< n <1000
1000< n <3000
n > 3000

NB: The calculation finds out the highest category of the hat exchanger by considering the max
allowable pressure written in the nameplate
To calculate the effective category please consider the pressure value declared for the plant.
