RIP CUTS (FIG. 14)
The blade provided with your saw is designed
for both cross cuts and rip cuts. Ripping
is cutting lengthwise with the grain of the
wood. Rip cuts are easy to perform with a rip
fence (Fig. 14). A rip fence is available as an
accessory (Model FT211, not included). To
attach a fence, insert the fence through the slots
in the foot to the desired width, as shown, and
secure it with the locking nut (included with the
rip fence).
RIP-BOARD GUIDE (FIG. 15)
When rip cutting large sheets, the rip fence may
not allow the desired width of cut.
Clamp or nail a straight piece of 1" (25 mm)
lumber to the sheet as a guide (Fig. 15). Use
the right side of the foot against the board
guide.
