A remote control set is available for the amplifier as an
optional accessory, and provides remote control of the
pre-amplifier's basic functions.
In general terms the buttons on the remote control hand-
set have the same function as the corresponding buttons
on the unit itself.
The remote control handset also includes additional
buttons, whose use is explained in greater detail in the
next section.
The amplifier can also be used to control a complete 'R'
system using a single remote control handset. The F1
remote control handset can also provide full control of
 TV sets and a range of standard commercial video
recorders.
The pre-amplifier can also pass on remote control com-
mands to other devices in an 'R' system via the R
system. Details of using the system with these other
units are provided in the operating instructions supplied
with them.

The F1 remote control handset must be switched to Hi-Fi
mode; this is done by pressing the 
left repeatedly until the LED above 'Hi-Fi' lights up.
To control a source device (CD, TUNER, AUX etc.) you
must first press the corresponding button on the remote
control handset.
The pre-amplifier then switches to this device as
listening source, and you then have control over the
selected unit.
