3.5. Operating
The winches are suitable for manual operation only.
For the load to be hoisted, turn the crank clockwise.
For the load to be lowered, turn the crank anticlockwise.
Check before each use if the transfer is sufficiently greased.
This will prevent "galling" and overheating.
3.6. ATEX
The winches with Ex rating can be used in ATEX zone 2 and 22.
The winches are marked as follows:
II 3GD T4
The marks have following meaning:
1 >> CE marking in accordance with the European Machinery Directive
2 >> Ex marking for explosion protection
3 >> Group II for use in all environments except mining
4 >> Product falls into category 3, for use in zone 2 and 22. The winches have under normal use no ignition source.
5 >> Can be used in environments with a gas (G) and / or dust (D) atmosphere
6 >> Tx is the temperature rating. Tx is the maximum surface temperature which may occur and depends on the
ambient temperature.
For these winches T4 is valid. That is to say that the maximum absolute surface temperature may mount to
135 ° C. Temperature measurements have shown that the absolute surface temperature mounts to 80 º C at an
ambient temperature of 20 º C.
The maximum surface temperature rises and falls proportionally with the ambient temperature.
4. Maintenance
The winch must be unloaded for inspection and maintenance tasks.
Inspection and maintenance tasks must be performed by skilled personnel, e.g. via your Gebuwin
dealer.
