POSITIONING AND STARTING
Follow the following precautions when positioning the appliance:
•
Put the appliance on a horizontal surface.
When using the appliance for the first time, after having unpacked it, it is
necessary to:
•
Rotate the appliance body (3) upside-down (Fig. B).
•
Press and move the battery compartment cover (5) as shown by the
arrow.
•
Insert the batteries (not supplied) according to the polarity indicated
(Fig. C).
•
Close the battery compartment cover (5).
USE
•
Press the button ""ZERO/
zero and the "weight zeroing" symbol (10).
•
Press the button "MODE" (7) (Fig. E) to set the required weight mode
(mass, water volume or milk volume).
•
Press the button "UNIT" (6) located underneath the appliance body to
select the required unit of measure (g/lb:oz or ml/fl'oz).
•
Position the steel container (1) on the base (2) of the food scale: the
display (4) shows the container weight.
•
Press the button "ZERO/
shows the "Tara" symbol (9) (Fig. F).
In case of use of a container other than the supplied one and the
weight shown is below 200 g, by pressing the button "ZERO/
the "weight zeroing" (10) is shown instead of the "Tara" symbol (9).
For practical purposes, the scale operation remains unchanged.
•
Position the food or the liquid to be weighed on the steel container (3),
by centering it on the same and read the weight on the display (4).
•
To switch the scale off, keep the "ZERO/
The scale of reading may be changed also during weighing.
After 2 minutes during which the scale is not used, it switches off
automatically.
4. Use
" (8) (Fig. D): the display (4) shows the
" (8) again to make the tare. The display (4)
