Using DAB/DAB+
DAB and DAB+ (available in the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania; see the chart in the
> Technical Specifications
a wide selection of channels. DAB and DAB+ provides a listening experience without the hiss,
crackle, or fading signal. DAB+ uses the same transmitters as DAB, though it converts sound
to digital in a more efficient way with additional stations to choose. With DAB and DAB+, there
is no need to remember frequencies; just select the station name.
DAB and DAB+ signals contain extra information that can be seen on the DN-300DH display.
While you listen, stations may show scrolling text with artist name, track title, genre, upcoming
songs, news headlines, sports scores, website addresses, or request line telephone numbers.
To select a DAB/DAB+ station:
1.
If the unit is off, press the Power button to power it on.
2.
Press the Band button to select DAB.
Important: Make sure you have properly connected the DAB antenna terminal.
3.
Press the DAB Auto button to search for DAB/DAB+ stations.
4.
To select from found DAB/DAB+ stations, use the Tuning Up/Down buttons on the unit
or the remote control.
To save a station to a preset number:
1. Select the desired DAB/DAB+ station.
2. Press the Memory button on the unit or remote control.
3. Use the Number buttons (1–10/10+) on the unit or the remote control to enter the desired
preset number.
4. Press the Memory button to save the station to the preset. DN-300DH can store up to 40
DAB stations in memory.
To recall a saved DAB/DAB+ station preset number, use the Number buttons (1–10/10+)
on the unit or the remote control to enter the desired preset number. To recall presets higher
than 10, press the 10/10+ button on the unit followed by the additional number button to get
to the desired preset (e.g. to get to preset 12, select 10/10+ followed by 2).
Important:
Check to ensure the antenna is extended as vertically as possible for best reception.
Position DN-300DH as close to a window as possible to ensure the surrounding environment
will not impede the DAB/DAB+ broadcast strength.
Try positioning the unit higher in the house to pick up a strong DAB/DAB+ signal.
