into the bowl. Stir continuously while the cheese is

∙ Once the cheese has melted, the thermostat control can
be turned back to a medium position to keep the cheese
warm.

place them in the bowl.
∙ When cooking is finished pull out the plug.
∙ Warning! The bowl and the hotplate are still hot.
Hints on using oil or fat
∙ Use only pure vegetable oil or fat, which must be
suitable for high temperatures, neutral in taste and not
liable to smoke or spill.
∙ Do not use the same oil or fat more than three or four
times. Otherwise it smells unpleasant, foams, and
becomes darker and viscous.
∙ Do not mix different kinds of fat.
∙ Chop the meat. Only use small pieces of meat.
∙ Frozen food should the thawed before it is cooked.
∙ Thoroughly dry the food stuffs to be cooked to prevent
the oil or fat from foaming over.
∙ Once cooled down, keep the oil/fat in a suitable closed
container and store in a cool place.
Cleaning and care
∙ Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the
appliance to cool down before cleaning.
∙ To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the
base with liquids or immerse it. If necessary, wipe with a
slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
∙ Do not pour used fat or oil in a sink. The cold oil/fat may
be discarded with the domestic refuse.
∙ The stainless steel bowl, the splash guard and the
fondue forks may be cleaned in hot soapy water or in
the dishwasher. Any cheese residues may be removed
with a soft brush after the bowl has been steeped in
water.
∙ Dry all accessories thoroughly afterwards.
