safety areas, controls, instruments, etc. and
visibility are not blocked or restricted.
4. Getting Started / Charging the Battery
Note
The included battery pack may exclusively be
used with and in this hands-free system!
• The hands-free set is equipped with a rechargeable
battery. The battery must be fully charged before
using the device for the first time.
• Open the back cover, insert the rechargeable
battery provided (with the poles correctly matched)
and then replace the cover.
• Ensure that the hands-free set is switched off
before charging it.
Charging with a vehicle charger:
• Plug the charger (B) into a car socket of the
vehicle's electrical system.
• When the power supply is active, the LED function
indicator lights up in red. The charger is now
ready for use.
• Begin charging the battery by connecting the
included USB charging cable to the charging
terminal (4) as well as to the USB connection of
the vehicle charger (B).
Note – Vehicle charger
• For some vehicle types, the ignition has to be
switched on to supply power to the car socket.
For more information, please refer to your
vehicle's operating instructions.
• Use the included vehicle charger to charge
this device only.
Charging via a PC/notebook/USB charger:
• Start the charging procedure by connecting the
supplied USB charging cable to the charging
socket (4) and to the USB port of a PC/notebook.
• You can also charge the hands-free system via an
appropriate USB charger. Observe the operating
instructions of the used USB charger for this
purpose.
• During the charging procedure the status LED (3)
continuously shines red.
• It may take up to 3 hours until the battery is
completely charged.
• If the battery is completely charged the status LED
(3) goes out.
• Disconnect all cables and separate all mains
connections afterwards.
Note
• If you have not used the device in months, it
may take 15 to 30 minutes of charging before
the status LED (3) lights up in red.
