Follow the relevant accident prevention rules for opera-
tion and other generally recognised health and safety at
work rules.
The machine is to be used only for its prescribed
purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of
misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer
will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind
caused as a result of this.
Please note that our equipment has not been de-
signed for use in commercial, trade or industrial appli-
cations. Our warranty will be voided if the equipment
is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses
or for equivalent purposes.
Function principle
This air dehumidifier works on the basis of the con-
densation principle.
Room air is sucked through a refrigerating element
where water vapour in the air condense as water
droplets. Then, the water droplets flow into a conden-
sation water bowl and further into the water container
while the dried cold air is piped through the condens-
er of the device, heated and blown
again into the room. The temperature of the blown
out air is approx. 2-5 °C above the room temperature.
This increase of heat is caused by power introduced
in the compressor and fan and by heat which is re-
leased by the condensation of the water vapour.
The relative humidity of air is gradually reduced
thanks to continuous recirculation of the room air
through the device resulting in a quick and gentle dry-
ing of the room.
Water vapours move easily and unhindered through
the air. Therefore, it is essential to "seal" the room
as tight as possible. That means doors and windows
must kept closed and entering and leaving the room
should be restricted if possible. Otherwise the drying
efficiency of the device is considerably impaired.
5. Safety information
These operating instructions provide places concern-
ing your safety which are marked with this indication:
m
Furthermore this manual contains other important
sections which are marked with the word
ATTENTION!
"
".
m Attention!
While using the machine some safety precautions
must be observed to prevent injuries and damage.
Read the directions with due care. If you give the
equipment to any other person, give them these op-
erating instructions as well. We assume no liability for
injuries or damages which are a results of noncompli-
ance of this manual and its safety notes.
m DANGER
Failure to follow these instructions may cause serious
danger to life of danger or fatal injuries.
m WARNING
Failure to follow these instructions may cause danger
to life or danger of serious injuries.
m CAUTION
Failure to follow these instructions may cause light to
medium risk of injury.
m NOTE
Failure to follow these instructions may cause danger
of damage of the engine or other property values.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings
m WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions may result in electric shock, fire and/or se-
rious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future ref-
erence.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your
mains operated (corded) power tool or battery-oper-
ated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust
or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while
operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the out-
let. Never modify the plug in any way. Do
not use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs
and matching outlets will reduce risk of elec-
tric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radia-
tors, ranges and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord
for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged
or entangled cords increase the risk of electric
shock.
