Operating instructions for ear protection with FM radio

(a) This ear protection supports VHF radio reception
(b) The audio signal is limited to a volume of 82 dB (A)
(c) Before and after use, store the device in the supplied film, away from sources of heat and excess humidity
(d) When wearing this ear protection while listening to the radio at the same time can impair the user's perception of warning signals.
Operating Instructions
1. Turn the controller clockwise: switched on
2. Put the ear protection on
3. For maximum ear protection, adjust the headband so that the protectors completely cover the ears and an even,
comfortable pressure can be felt
4. Ensure that no tufts of hair, spectacle arms or similar are able to push the hearing protectors away from the ear
5. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level
6. Switch to the required station
7. Switch radio mode to OFF when the ear protection is taken off
8. Batteries: 2 x type AA (not included)

Important
Noise protection is guaranteed only when worn correctly. Bending the headband or altering it in any other way can impair the product's
positioning and therefore its noise protection.
Recommendations
• do not store near sources or heat or in excessive humidity
• only use in accordance with the instructions.
• always wear when located / working near sources of noise
• maintain regularly
• temperature ranges: -10°C to +40°C
• ambient humidity: 0% - 98%
Care instructions
1. Only use warm soapy water and a damp cloth or similar (no alcohol or solvents). Allow the foam inlay to dry thoroughly.
2. Check the ear padding regularly to ensure it is still functional (e.g. damage to the protective shell or deformed or hardened padding).
3. The ear protectors can be easily dismantled for cleaning or repair.
Changing the battery
1. Switch the device off
2. Press the blade of a flat screwdriver against the tab on the underside of the shell without the antenna
and separate the shell from the housing.
3. Insert the batteries (align the polarities +/- correctly)
4. Close the shell (fit the underside in first and then allow the upper side to engage)
