STARTING INSTRUCTIONS
Before starting the fan for the first time proceed as follows:
- If necessary clean the fan and ductwork.
- Check the screw connections for tightness.
- Check the earthing of the electric motor. See that the
switch is placed in its off position.
- If the motor is damp after a longer break in operation,
it should be dried carefully.
Important!
See that the direction of rotation of
the rotor complies with the arrow
on the casing of the fan.
Start the fan for a trial run, after which it is recom-
mended to check the following points:
- The fan should operate without any excessive
vibrations and noise.
- The temperature of the fan and motor should not be
higher than that of the ambient air by more than 50°C.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Regular maintenance work is aimed at keeping the
fan in optimum operational condition.
Maintenance check points:
- Check and tighten any loose screws.
- Check and tighten any loose duct connections.
- Check the electrical installation.
- Check the impeller for dirt and damage. Remove
any accumulated dirt.

When ordering spare parts and accessories always state the fans
part no. and control no. (from the type label of the fan).

WORK SAFETY REGULATIONS
To avoid risk of personal
injury please take note
of the following
information.
The fan should be placed in an easily acces-
sible place for safe servicing.
The fan must not be used without ductwork
connected, unless the in- and outlet are
equipped with approved guard nets.
Always disconnect the fan motor from mains
with the isolator before starting any
maintenance or repair work.
Always use a dust filter mask when repairing
and servicing the system
Protect the electric insulation against adverse
effects due to grease and moisture.
The fan must not be installed in an environment
with danger of explosion or be used for trans-
porting inflammable or explosive gases.
Ear protectors should be used when working
near the fan.
It is incumbent on the installation engineer, to
make the installation in such a way, that the
demands of the machine directive 89/392/EEC,
the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC and the
EMC-directive 89/336/EEC can be fulfilled.
