2. Safety Instructions
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• The soldering iron is only suitable for operation at a mains voltage of 240V / 50Hz.
• To avoid burns or other damage by the soldering iron, only use a fire-proof base for placing the soldering iron.
• After heating up, hold the soldering iron only at the handle. Never touch the tip or metal shaft!
• Protect the power cord from extreme heat. Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an
authorised dealer replace it if necessary.
• Let the soldering iron cool down after use. Never immerse the soldering iron into a liquid.
• Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
3. Soldering
• Do not heat up the soldering without the tip to avoid damaging the heating element.
• Check, clean and tighten the tip prior to soldering.
• Always clean the parts to be soldered and apply sufficient solder.
