Use as thicknesser
• Remove the angle fence 2.
• Remove the blade guard 4.
• Pull out the keys on both sides of the dust chute 1.
• Locate the dust chute 1 on the planer table 5.
• The dust chute 1 has to be positioned so that both keys
are in line with the longitudinal holes.
• Push both keys in the holes.
6.3 Dust chute connection
To ensure a trouble-free and reliable operation in enclosed
premises, the dust chute must be connected to an external
extractor unit.
• Connect a suitable external extractor unit with the suction
connector of the dust chute 1.
Therefore use the gear unit available as accessory ( 640
and PF204 version only).
• The minimum air velocity at the extractor connection must
be 20 m/s to ensure an optimal extraction.
• Use a special extraction tool if working with materials like
paint that are harmful to your health.
• The dust produced can be dangerous.
• Please refer to the chapter Security Advice.
• For professional use of the appliance, special regulations
concerning the dust extraction must be followed.
6.4 Cutter block guard adjustment
• The height of the cutter block guard 4 can be adjusted
with the lever 14 mounted on the left side of the planer
table 5.
• After untightening the screw 14, the width of the cutter
block guard 4 can be adjusted.
• Tighten the screw 14 after the adjustment.
Power connection
Warning!
Do not connect the machine to the power source
until installation steps have been made.
The motor is designed for operation on the voltage and
frequency specifi ed within the Technical Data.
Normal loads will be handled safely on voltages not more
than 10% below or above the specifi ed voltage.
Operating the machine on voltages which are not within this
range may cause overheating and motor burnout.
Operate machine only on a power source matching the
following requirements:
• outlets properly installed, earthed and approved;
• when a dust collector is used it must also be properly
earthed;
Position power supply cable so it does not interfere with the
work and is not damaged.
Protect power supply cable from heat, aggressive liquids
and sharp edges.
Use only extension cables of suffi cient lead crosssection.
Do not pull on power supply cable to unplug.
7 OPERATION

7.1 Power switch "I/O"
Switch on:
• Open the protective switch cover.
• Push the green button "I".
Switch off:
• Push the protective switch cover.
• Open the switch cover and push the red button "O".
