1. About the unit
How do ultrasonic cleaners work?
Ultrasonic cleaning is widely used in many industrial appli-
cations, the jewellery industry and in the medical sector.
All hard materials can be cleaned using ultrasound. Even
tough stains or dirt in difficult-toaccess locations can be
removed in an environmentally friendly way.
An ultrasonic generator converts electric power into
mechanical vibrations. The generated sound waves are
in the ultrasound range, outside the range audible to
human ears.
ENGLISH
Ultrasonic cleaning always takes place in a liquid
medium (for example, water with cleaning agent). The
vibrations have a periodic effect on the cleaning fluid,
thus transferring the energy.
This results in microscopic vacuum bubbles (cavitation
bubbles) in the liquid, which implode on the item to be
cleaned and thus create the cleaning effect.
All locations on the item immersed for cleaning that are
accessible by water are cleaned. For heavy or tough
stains, it may be necessary to carry out several cleanings.
