These thermometers correspond with following norms: DIN 16181, DIN16182, DIN16185, DIN16186,
DIN16189, DIN 16190. The user has to ensure that the appropriate thermometers with regard to
the medium effect on the used material/measuring system, scale range and version is selected ..
The optimum selection of the scale range of the thermometers is given, if the operating pressure
is in the midscale of the scale range.
To avoid damage, the measuring instrument must be stored in the original packaging.
Storage temperature: -40 to +70°C.
The temperature measuring points should be prepared according to the indications for tapped
holes. Further information you will nd on the VDE/VDI directives 3511 and 3512 page 2.
Importantly: During the assembly, the thermometer may not be tightened at the housing, otherwise
the gauge can take damage!
Assembly: vertical implementation
gasket DIN7603A
set the flat gasket
tightening the thermowell
aligning the display
Alignment of the scale: loosen the counter nut, turn the thermometer in the right position and
tighten the counter nut.
Assembly: angled implementation
thermowell
1. loosen the retaining screw
2. remove the thermowell from thermometer
retaining screw
3. insert the gasket on measuring point
4. insert the thermowell close to seal face
5. insert the thermometer into the thermowell
6. tighten retaining srew
loosen retaining screw
insert the thermometer into the
thermowell
Rectify the gauge, that reading the Thermometer is readable the best
Gaskets according to DIN 7603A are particularly suitable. The correct torque depends on
material and shape of the gasket. It should not exceed 80 Nm.
The measuring instrument have to be attached in such a way that the in uence of the convection
and heat radiation is not crossed over the maximum.
The position of thermowell may be oriented by the picture below!
