3 Product description
TAS 03
TAS 03 is a thermal safety valve with two independent sensor sys-
tems.
TAS 03 consists of a valve housing, a valve, two independent bellow
type displacement probes with liquid-filled temperature probes and a
pocket. If one temperature probe fails, the functionality is still given.
The capillary tube is protected by a flexible metal hose. TAS 03 TSK
is connected to the hot water outlet of the water heater or to the inlet
of the safety heat exchanger. If the response temperature of 99°C is
exceeded, the valve is opened by the thermal probe and cooling wa-
ter from the mains water supply system is supplied to keep the sys-
tem from exceeding the maximum operating temperature.
Function principle
The heat expansion of the silicone oil in the probe system causes a
displacement via the bellows which opens the outlet valve at approx.
99°C.
