Leviton warrants to the original consumer purchaser and not for the
benefit of anyone else that this product at the time of its sale by Leviton
is free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper
use during the lifetime of the product. Leviton's only obligation is to
correct such defects by repair or replacement, at its option, if the product
is returned prepaid, with proof of purchase date, and a description of the
problem to Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc., Att: Quality Assurance
Department, 59-25 Little Neck Parkway, Little Neck, New York
11362-2591. This warranty excludes and there is disclaimed liability for
labor for removal of this product or reinstallation. This warranty is void
if this product is installed improperly or in an improper environment,
overloaded, misused, opened, abused, or altered in any manner, or is
not used under normal operating conditions or not in accordance with any
labels or instructions. There are no other or implied warranties of any
kind, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

NOTE: LEvITON'S LOCKING RECEPTACLES ARE DESIGNED TO ACCEPT WIRES FROm #10 AWG TO #4 AWG. ON GROUND CONNECTION ONLY USE #10 TO #6 AWG STRANDED WIRE ONLY.
TO INSTALL:
WARNING:
1. TO AvOID FIRE, SHOCK, OR DEATH TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE AND TEST THAT POWER IS OFF BEFORE WIRING!
2. Strip insulation of each conductor 3/4" (19.1 mm) per STRIP GAGE molded on the back of the Receptacle.
3. make sure that stripped wire is clean, and of a bright copper color. If necessary, twist strands of each stripped conductor tightly.
DO NOT TIN CONDUCTORS.
4. make sure that wiring chambers are fully open. Use a 5/32" Allen wrench to loosen terminal screws.
5. Insert each stripped conductor into proper wiring well per Table 1, and per markings on device. Check for stray wire strands.
6. Tighten each terminal screw with 5/32" Allen wrench to 35 in-lb of torque.
CAUTION:
TERMINAL MUST TIGHTEN ONTO CONDUCTORS, NOT INSULATION.
7. mount Receptacle in box (Figure 1) and secure cover/wall plate. NOTE: Leviton recommends our Cat. No. 7788-CR nylon flip lid cover
or Cat. No. 7770 metal flip lid cover.

PRÉSENTER UN COURANT ADmISSIBLE SUFFISANT SELON LA COLONNE DE 60 °C DU TABLEAU 2 DU CODE CANADIEN DE L'ÉLECTRICITÉ OU DU TABLEAU 310-16 DU NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE.
REMARQUE : LES PRISES vERROUILLABLES DE LEvITON ACCEPTENT LES FILS D'UN CALIBRE DE 10 À 4 AWG. POUR LA mISE À LA TERRE, ON NE PEUT UTILISER QUE DU FIL TORONNÉ DE CALIBRE 10 À 6 AWG.
PROCÉDURE D'INSTALLATION :
AVERTISSEMENT :
1. POUR ÉvITER LES RISQUES D'INCENDIE, DE CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE OU D'ÉLECTROCUTION, COUPER LE COURANT AU FUSIBLE OU AU
DISJONCTEUR ET S'ASSURER QUE LE CIRCUIT SOIT BIEN COUPÉ AvANT DE PROCÉDER À L'INSTALLATION.
2. Dénuder chaque conducteur sur près de 19,1 mm, conformément au GABARIT DE DÉNUDAGE moulé à l'arrière de la prise.
3. S'assurer que les brins soient bien propres, d'une couleur cuivre éclatante. Entortiller fermement ces brins au besoin. NE PAS LES ÉTAMER.
4. S'assurer que les compartiments de câblage soient complètement ouverts. Se servir d'une clé Allen de 5/32 po pour desserrer les bornes à vis.
5. Insérer les conducteurs dénudés dans les orifices appropriés, conformément au tableau 1 et aux marques apparaissant sur le dispositif. vérifier qu'aucun brin ne dépasse.
6. Toujours au moyen d'une clé Allen de 5/32 po, serrer les bornes en appliquant un couple de 35 po-lb.
MISE EN GARDE : LES VIS DOIVENT SE SERRER SUR LES CONDUCTEURS, NON SUR LEUR ISOLANT.
7. Installer la prise dans une boîte (figure 1) et fixer le couvercle ou la plaque murale. REMARQUE : Leviton recommande d'utiliser un couvercle rabattable en nylon (n° 7788-CR) ou en métal (n° 7770).

ACUERDO CON LA COLUmNA C 60º de la TABLA 310-16 DE LOS CODIGOS ELECTRICOS NACIONALES O LA TABLA 2 DEL CODIGO ELECTRICO DE CANADA.
NOTA: LOS RECEPTACULOS CON SEGURO DE LEvITON ESTAN DISEÑADOS PARA ACEPTAR CABLES DESDE #10 A #4 AWG. PARA CONEXIONES A TIERRA SOLO USE CABLE TRENZADO #10 A #6 AWG.
PARA INSTALAR:
ADVERTENCIA:
1. PARA EvITAR DESCARGA ELECTRICA, FUEGO, O mUERTE, INTERRUMPA EL PASO DE ENERGIA mEDIANTE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CIRCUITO O FUSIBLE. ¡ASEGURESE DE QUE EL CIRCUITO NO ESTE ENERGIZADO
ANTES DE INICIAR LA INSTALACION!
2. Pele aprox. 19.1 mm. del aislante de cada conductor de acuerdo a la medida moldeada detrás del receptáculo.
3. Asegure que el pelado del conductor este limpio y de cobre brillante. Si es necesario, tuerza los hilos de cada punta bien apretados. NO ESTAÑE LOS CONDUCTORES.
4. Asegure que los compartimentos de cableado estén totalmente abiertos. Use una llave Allen 5/32" para aflojar los tornillos terminales.
5. Inserte los alambres pelados en los orificios de cableado de acuerdo a la Tabla 1 y la marca en el producto. verifique que no haya hilos sueltos.
6. Apriete los tornillos terminales con la llave Allen 5/32" a una tensión de 35 in-lb. PRECAUCION: LAS TERMINALES SOLO DEBEN APRETAR LOS CONDUCTORES, NO
AL AISLANTE.
7. monte el receptáculo en la caja (Figura 1) y asegure la cubierta/placa de pared . NOTA: Leviton recomienda nuestra cubierta movible de nylon No. de Cat. 7788-CR y de
metal No. de Cat. 7770.
