EC 18V Safety Warnings: Instructions for Putting Into Use
Setting up the Saw for Use
After unpacking check that there are no parts missing or damaged. If there are contact sup-
plier and do not operate.
Before using a blade needs to be fitted as described in the operating instructions. (See Blade
Changing Section) A cardboard packing disk may be fitted in place of the blade, which will
need to be removed.
The battery should be fully charged before fitting to the tool (see battery changing and
charging)
When a battery (with charge) is fitted to the tool, the power indicator LED (Diagram Q) will
flash.
Note: Remove the battery when the tool is not in use.
Information on Power Supply:
The charger should be connected to a normal domestic socket outlet with a voltage rating
between 210 and 250 V and a current rating of between 13 and 16A.
Safety Warnings – Li-Ion Battery Pack
Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is severely damaged or is completely worn
out. The battery pack can explode in a fire. Toxic fumes and materials are created when
lithium ion battery packs are burned.
If battery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash area with mild
soap and water. If battery liquid gets into the eyes, rinse water over the open eye for 15
minutes or until irritation ceases. If medical attention is needed, the battery electrolyte is
composed of a mixture of liquid organic carbonates and lithium salts.
Contents of opened battery cells may cause respiratory irritation. Provide fresh air. If
symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Warning: Burn hazard. Battery liquid may be flammable if exposed to spark or flame.
