3. Features
• The multi-stage battery charger allows batteries to be charged to almost 100 % of their original capacity thanks to state-of-the-art technology.
• Automatic diagnosis, restoration, charging and maintenance of batteries over months thanks to fully automatic switching between charging
and maintenance mode.
• The following starting options are available 28.6 V, 29.2 V, 14.3 V, 14.6 V
• Charging current available 2 A-5 A-10 A (for 12 V batteries) and 2 A-5 A (for 24 V batteries)
• No risk of over-charging
• Electronically secured against user error
• Spark-proof
• Overheating protection with mini fan inside
• Fully protected against short-circuits and incorrect connections
4. Operating Instructions
Step 1: Position the RED connection on the POSITIVE terminal (+) and the BLACK connection on the NEGATIVE terminal (-) of the battery.
Step 2: Connect the power cable to the socket. The LCD screen lights up and the charger automatically detects the battery voltage. The correspon-
ding LED display lights up (12 V or 24 V).
• The charger begins to charge with the standard charging current of 2 A. The current can be changed by pressing the MODE button. The se-
quence is 2 A-5 A-10 A-2 A-5 A, etc.
• Once the battery is fully charged, „FULL" appears on the display.
Note: if the connections are connected in the reverse order, „Err" and the warning symbol appear. Change the connections to the correct polarity.
Winter mode: (in the event of minus temperatures during charging)
press the „Mode" button for 2 to 3 seconds until winter mode (snowflake symbol) appears on the display. To deactivate winter mode, repeat the
procedure or disconnect the power supply from the charger.
Important!
AGM battery: to charge AGM batteries, always switch to winter mode. In standard mode, AGM batteries are not fully charged because the charge
cut-off voltage on AGM batteries is higher than on wet batteries.
Recommended charging process:
the charger works in several stages. For 24 V batteries, choose slow charging at 2 A or medium charging at 5 A, depending on the practical
requirements. For 12 V batteries, choose 2 A for slow charging (recommended), 5 A for medium-fast charging and 10 A for fast charging, depen-
ding on the practical requirements.
Example charging duration:
100 Ah 12 V battery with 5 A charging current: approx. 22 hours' charging.
With 10 A charging current approx. 11 hours.
Maintenance charging:
the charger constantly checks the terminal voltage of the battery to determine whether maintenance charging is needed. The maintenance char-
ging process is initiated if the terminal voltage
- falls below 25.6 V on a 24 V battery or
- falls below 12.8 V on a 12 V battery.
Maintenance charging is carried out at a constant 1.5 A until the voltage
- reaches 28.6 V on a 24 V battery or
- reaches 14.3 V on a 12 V battery (14.7 V for an AGM in winter mode).
The maintenance charging cycle is repeated for an unlimited amount of time. To keep the battery in good condition when not in use, simply leave
the charger connected.
