    All Units communicate over one cable with the computer and so there is no need for many cables to connect, and this will make your work much easier. The Midicontrol 2 will give you an USB-Interface for transfer midi data to your computer. (Midi over USB)

    MIDICONTROL 2 immediately. When you play on the keyboard, notes and its velocity message will be transmitted. Note number corresponding to the most left key is 36.

    BASIC OPERATIONS PROGRAM SETTING Press PROGRAM button, the current program number will appear on the display. Use +, - button to increase or decrease the program number you desire. You can also press numerical buttons 0 - 9 to enter the number directly ranging of 1 to 128. You must enter all 3 figures, for example, 001, 012, 126 etc.

    OCTAVE Press OCTAVE button, the current octave shift will appear on the display. Use +, - button to increase or decrease the octave shift you desire ranging of -2 to +2, i.e., two octave down or up. About 3 seconds after you complete the operation, the display will return to indicate program number.

    REVERB LEVEL Press FUNCTION button, the display will show “F-“ to prompt you to input a function code. Then press REVERB button, current reverb level will appear on the display. Now, you can set reverb level your desire ranging from 1 to 128. You can also use + or - button to change it. Transmitted reverb level is the figure on the display minus 1.

    PEDAL DEFINITION Press FUNCTION button, the display will show “F-“ to prompt you to input a function code. Then press PEDAL button, current pedal definition code will appear on the display. Now, you can define the pedal in the unit using number button 1 - 4. You can also use + or - button to change it.

    There are some misunderstandings about midi, because the computer does not recognize a midi device, except it is an USB-device. The midi standard doesn’t support recognizing of devices. The Midicontrol 2 is recognized by USB but not by a midi-interface, this is normal!! Pedal doesn’t work . . .
  • Page 17 If you connect the keyboard to the computer by USB, it should be recognized. You can hear a short sound and the computer shows the name of the keyboard (Miditech...). If this not happens there should maybe a technical problem in the hardware of the keyboard or your computer.

    MIDI ist die Abkürzung für Musical Instrument Digital Interface, und das ist der Standard für den Datenaustausch zwischen Musikinstrumenten, die mit dem Midi-Anschluss ausgestattet sind. Um Ihnen die Midi-Funktionen Ihres Midicontrol 2 näher zu erläutern, folgen Sie bitte den nachfolgenden Erklärungen. Die Midi-Funktionen Ihres Midicontrol 2 geben Ihnen in Verbindung mit anderen Instrumenten oder Ihrem Computer enorme Möglichkeiten.

    USB-Treiber installieren: Wenn Sie dieses Masterkeyboard mit Ihrem Computer benutzen, müssen Sie die USB-Treiber Software mit der beigefügten CD installieren. Legen Sie die CD-Rom in das CD-Rom Laufwerk ein. Öffnen Sie das Verzeichnis, welches der Betriebsystemversion auf Ihrem Computer entspricht, und doppelklicken Sie dann das Setup Icon. Die Installation wird gestartet.

    Grund Einstellungen Programme einstellen Drücken Sie dem PROGRAM Knopf, die aktuelle Programm Nummer bleibt auf dem Display stehen. Benutzen Sie den Plus oder Minus Knopf zum erhöhen oder erniedrigen der gewünschten Programm Nummer. Sie können also die Zahlentasten von 0 – 9 zum Eingeben der Nummer von 1 bis 128 benutzen.

    Oktave einstellen Drücken Sie den OKTAVE Knopf und das Display zeigt die aktuelle Oktav Einstellung. Benutzen Sie den Plus minus Knopf zum erhöhen oder erniedrigen der Oktave im Bereich von - 2 bis + 2. Drei Sekunden später nachdem Sie die Eingabe beendet haben, springt das Display auf die Programm Nummer zurück.

    Erweiterte Funktionen Außer den obengenannten Grundfunktionen haben Sie noch weitere Funktionen die Sie über den Funktions-Knopf aufrufen können. Wenn diese Funktion aktiv ist, werden alle Zeichen auf dem Display mit drei Punkten zur Identifikation angezeigt. Bitte beachten Sie, das im Split Mode nur zwei Punkte angezeigt werden!     Reverb Level (Hall Pegel) Drücken Sie den Funktionsknopf, und das Display zeigt " F-" um anzuzeigen das Sie einen Funktionscode eingeben können. Danach drücken Sie in Knopf REVERB, der eingestellte Reverb Level erscheint auf dem Display. Jetzt können Sie dem gewünschten Reverb Level von 1 bis 128 einstellen.

    Problemlösungen: Wenn es mal nicht geht . . . dann Überprüfen Sie folgende Anweisungen: Der Midianschluss funktioniert nicht . . . Haben Sie die Treiber Ihrer Soundkarte installiert? Schauen Sie mal unter „Start  Einstellungen  Systemsteuerung  Multimedia  Tab Midi ob ein Miditreiber Ihrer Soundkarte eingetragen ist, falls nicht hohlen Sie dieses nach.

  • Page 48 Les avantages d'USB sont surtout la facilité de connections (par un seul cable) et la possibilité d'alimenter les appareils périphériques, notamment le Midicontrol 2, par le cable USB. Cela permet d'économiser des cables et rend le travail plus facile.
  • Page 49 Puis mettez le bouton de mise en marche sur "On". L'écran d'affichage indiquera le numéro de programme "001" et le clavier transmettra immédiatement ce numéro de programme à l'équipement connecté au Midicontrol 2. Notez: L'affichage par défaut est le numéro de programme. Après toute opération effectuée sur le clavier, l'affichage revient au numéro de programme.
  • Page 50 Opérations de base Réglage des programmes Appuyez sur le bouton PROGRAM, le numéro de programme en cours apparaît alors sur l'écran. Utilisez les touches + et – pour modifier le numéro de programme. Vous pouvez également utiliser les touches numériques 0-9 pour entrer directement le numéro de 1 à 128. Vous devez obligatoirement entrer 3 chiffres, par exemple 001, 012, 126 etc.

Appuyez ensuite sur un des boutons 1-0, les réglages enregistrés à cet emplacement seront appelés et transmis immédiatement. 3 secondes après avoir enregistré votre réglage, l'écran indique à nouveau le numéro de programme.

Quand cette fonction est mise en route, cela sera indiqué par trois points illuminés sur l'écran. Notez que pendant la fonction split seulement deux points sont allumés.

  • Page 57 MIDI ne possèdent qu'un port MIDI-OUT, donc l'ordinateur ne peut rien "demander" à l'appareil MIDI, comme le fait par exemple l'interface USB. L'interface MIDI ne prévoit pas que des périphériques soient reconnus. Il est donc normal que le Midicontrol 2 soit reconnu via USB et pas reconnu via MIDI.
