BICYCLE SAFETY

• Before riding your Stretching Bike for the fi rst time, familiarise yourself with the location and operation of all of the quick release
levers.
• Ensure that all quick release levers are fully closed for maximum clamping pressure and to avoid accidental release.
Failure to secure the quick release levers properly before riding may result in the frame, handlebars or seat to twist or swivel.
• The two quick release levers located on the side of the frame main tube must be parallel with the frame to avoid interference with
your legs while pedalling.
• Make sure that the seat post quick release is securely fastened so the seat post does not slip down or twist when you are riding the
bicycle.
• Never operate the bicycle if the frame, wheels or quick release levers are damaged.
• Recommended safe maximum rider weight allowances: 100 kg
• Proper maintenance and adjustment of your Stretching Bike will greatly increase bicycle safety and performance.
• A smoother ride will be achieved if the tires are infl ated to the correct pressure as indicated on side walls of the tires.
Always check the tire pressure before riding.
• Refl ectors alone are not adequate for riding at night. Front and rear lighting systems are recommended to increase visibility.
• Always wear an approved safety helmet when riding the bicycle.
• The bicycle is designed for all users, however parental supervision is recommended when the bicycle is used by children.
• Remember to comply with all road rules and bicycling safety laws. Use common sense, especially in adverse weather conditions.
• Bicycle Industry Group (BIG) takes no responsibility for accidents resulting from failure to comply with cycling safety laws,
careless riding or improper use or lack of maintenance of your bicycle.
