Use only in pond and small decorative fountains where
persons will immerse no more than their hands and
lower arms while the product is energized. Do not
immerse to a depth greater than 4 ft. (1.2 m.)For use
in fresh water or out of water only. Not for use in salt
water.

it. Failure to do so may result in loss of fish life and/or
damage to this appliance.
2. DANGER – To avoid possible electric shock, special
care should be taken since water is employed in the use
of pond equipment. For each of the following situations,
do not attempt repairs yourself; return the appliance to the
store where it was purchased if still under warranty. Power
unit must be supplied by a circuit protected by a GFCI
(Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected by a hooded,
flush type, cover plate receptacle, marked for use in Wet
Locations.
A. If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal current
leakage or if a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) or
RCD (Residual Current Device) switches off, disconnect
the power supply cord from mains (main power supply)
and remove the appliance from water.
B. Carefully examine the appliance after installation.
It should not be plugged if there is water on parts not
intended to be wet.
C. Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord
or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or
damaged in any manner. The power cord of
this appliance cannot be replaced;
if the cord is damaged, the appliance should be
discarded. Never cut the cord.
3. WARNING – Risk of electric shock. Install power unit 5
feet (1.5 m) or more from a pool, spa, or fountain.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with significantly impaired physical
or mental capabilities, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should always be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
5. CAUTION – Always unplug or disconnect all appliances
in the pond from the electrical supply before placing hands
in water, before putting on or taking off parts and while
the equipment is being installed, maintained or handled.
When inserting or removing the lights from the water,
always disconnect from electrical supply. Never yank the
cord to pull the plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to
disconnect. Always unplug an appliance from the electrical
supply when not in use. Never lift the appliance by the
cord.
6. CAUTION – This is a Pond Light Kit. This product has
been evaluated for use in fresh water or out of water
only. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended
use (i.e.: do not use in swimming pools, etc.). The use of
attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance
manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
• DO NOT use in water intended for swimming, wading,
immersion or bathing.
• The lights are suitable for use in water temperatures up
to 35°C (95ºF).
• Do not use the lights with inflammable or drinkable
liquids.
7. Do not install or store the appliance where it will be
exposed to temperatures below freezing. Store indoors.
Shelter lights and transformer from direct sunlight.
The plastic materials have high stability to sunlight but
direct rays may speed aging.
8. CAUTION: (for U.S.A. and Canada only): This appliance
has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other)
to reduce the risk of electric shock; the plug is intended
to fit into a polarized receptacle on in one way. If the plug
cannot be fully inserted into the receptacle, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician in
order to have a proper polarized receptacle installed. Do
not attempt to modify the plug or receptacle in any way.
9. IMPORTANT – Supply through a GFCI or RCD with rated
residual current not exceeding 30 mA.
10. CAUTION: Risk of Electric Shock: When using the
3-way splitter, supplied with models PT1578 and PT1579
or as an optional accessory, ensure that any unused
connection sockets are capped with the waterproof caps
supplied with the 3-way splitter. DO NOT immerse the
3-way splitter, transformer or light sensor assembly in
water.
11. DO NOT overload the transformer. Transformer will
power only 3 lights in total. Do Not daisy chain the 3-way
splitter.
12. CAUTION: Do not use chemicals in the water in which
the lighting products are used.
