• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage the
product.
• Never touch the product with wet or damp hands.
• The device is constructed according to protection class I. Only a proper mains socket (220 – 240 V/AC,
50/60 Hz) connected to the public supply net must be used as voltage source.
• Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local A/C mains voltage matches the
specifications on the nameplate.
• The mains socket must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on the plug.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not plan to use the device for an extended period
of time.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or subjected to
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do
not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can
cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via
the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use
the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• Damaged mains cables must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized repair centre or a qualified
electrician.
• Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of
injury.
• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of a table and keep it away from hot objects.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the product. If
liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off
circuit breaker), and then disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Discontinue use and take
the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• Always operate the device with the corresponding pedestal base only.
• Do not place the device on a cooker (gas, electric, coal, etc.). Keep the product away from any hot
surfaces and open flames.
• Turn the product off and unplug the power cord if the device is not in use.
• The use of other accessories not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries or
damage the appliance. Therefore, only use original accessories.
• The product may be used only to froth or heat milk. Do not use it to heat other liquids or foods.
• Do not switch the product on when the pitcher is empty.
