Thank you for buying the DVM123! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the
device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Function Check (
• Place the electrodes on the T contacts on the protective cap.
Reference display for wood: 27% +/- 2%
Reference display for building material: 1.25% +/- 0.1%
3. Use
• Remove the protective cap. You can put the cap on the bottom side so as not to lose it.
• The device switches on automatically.
• Place the device on the object and press the electrodes as far as possible into the material.
• When measuring wood, always place the device perpendicular to the wood structure.
• Repeat the operation to yield representative data.
• Once the measurement is finished, replace the protective cap on the top side. The device will automatically switch off.
In order to conserve battery life, the meter will automatically switch off after ±15min. of inactivity. Press the yellow
button between the electrodes to reactivate on the device.
4. Reading the Display
A continuous line: even values
A dotted line: uneven values
Overflow: reading > 44% / 2%
NOTE: Characteristics due to growth or type of wood and deviating wood temperatures may make it necessary to
correct the displayed values. Measurements should be carried out according to the drying and weighing /
calcium carbide method in the case of inspections or for reference purposes.
5. Battery Check (
• Place the electrodes on the B contacts on the protective cap.
Reference display for wood: >44%
Reference display for building material: 2.05%
