3.3 Connecting the power supply
The unit should be connected to the 230 V socket on the back of the high frequency casting machine
megapuls compact. This ensures that the water circulation unit is always switched on or off at the same time as
the casting machine.
Caution
Any maintenance work at the plug socket or mains supply may only be carried out
by an electrician.
Caution
Always connect the electricity cable of the water circulation unit to the socket of
the casting machine.
3.4 Filling the water circulation unit with water
Recommendation
Use distilled water to avoid lime deposits.
Caution
Connect the water circulation unit to the high frequency casting machine
megapuls compact before filling it with water. Take out the plug of the water
circulation unit.
Pull the plug from the high frequency casting machine megapuls compact.
Switch off the water pump and take out the plug. Slowly pull out the drawer with the water tank, which is at the
front of the unit, until the water inlet stopper is accessible (Fig. 3). Remove the stopper and, using a funnel, pour
the water into the inlet to approx. 1 cm from the top of the tank (approx. 20 litres). Replace the stopper.
Plug in the unit.

Operation
4.1 Initial operation
After the unit has been filled and switched on for the first time, check that water can be seen flowing through the
transparent water hoses. If larger bubbles of trapped air can be seen, refer to section 6, Correcting faults.
4.2 Normal operation
The pump of the water rotating unit is switched on by the switch on the high frequency casting machine
megapuls compact.
When the casting machine is switched off after casting, the electricity supply is automatically cut off to the water
circulation unit. The water circulation unit should, however, still be switched off at the ON / OFF switch.
i
Note
To avoid overheating of the device a break of 10 minutes must be maintained
after having made a series of 7 castings.
