ROCK BRACKET UPWARDS
WARNING:
Serious injury or death can occur from the rack tipping over. To prevent this, the rack
must be secured to a wall, especially in earthquake -prone areas, or where surfaces are uneven, and where
children and/or pets are present.
Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your specific type of
wall. If you are uncertain about what type of fastener to use, then please contact your local hardware store.
Laminate Deck, Wire Grid, and Locking Shelf Pin Instructions
(Fig. 16-18)
NOTE:
Each wire grid consists of two sides – a "short" side and "long" side. If you plan on sliding objects on
and off of the shelf from the front of the rack, then we recommend having the "short" side of the grid facing
upward. If you plan on sliding objects from the side of the rack, then we recommend having the "long" side
facing
upward.
1. It is recommended that a laminated deck is placed on the crossbeams right above the drawer. To install
the laminate deck, place it on the top ledge of the crossbeams. If seated properly, it will "pop" into place
and lay evenly. (Fig. 16)
2. To install the wire grid, place the wire grid onto the top ridge of a set of crossbeams. If seated properly,
the grids will "pop" into place and lay evenly.
3. Place a locking grid clip at the outermost corner of the shelf. With your free hand, insert the rolled edge
with the groove facing upwards. (Fig. 17)
4. With one hand, apply pressure to the back of the clip. With your free hand, insert a flat-head
screwdriver (not included) into the small slot in the clip to spread the tine up and over the wire
that is underneath.
5. Pull back on the screwdriver. The grooved channel in the clip should now match up with the wire
decking, which will help secure it to the shelf beam.
6. Repeat Steps 4-6 on the remaining three corners of the wire grid.
7. There are locking pin holes at both ends of every crossbeam. This is where the locking shelf pins are to
be installed. If the pin does not easily slip into place, then moderately tap the end of the crossbeam to
fully seat the locking tabs. (Fig. 18)

PEGBOARD AND TOOL HANGERS (2 PARTS)
Part 1a: Single Back Pegboard Panel Assembly (Fig. 19-22)
NOTE: Having a helper will ease the assembly of the pegboard while lining up the mounting tabs.
NOTE: The (2) pegboard mounting beams will be used to elevate the pegboard above the shelf to effectively
make use of the metal pegboard. Fig. 19 shows the order for installing the parts to create this configuration of
the Work Station.
1. On each side of the rack place a corresponding back mounting bracket in the top two slots of the
upright, making sure that the hanging tab arrows are pointing upwards. Slide the brackets completely
down into the slots to secure them. Place a second set of brackets spaced one slot below the
previously installed ones, again making sure the arrows point upwards and sliding
them down. (Fig. 20)
2. Slide a pegboard mounting beam vertically onto the mounting tabs of each bracket set. Ensure that the
mounting tabs on the pegboard mounting beam point upwards. (Fig. 20)
3. Line up the slots on the pegboard with the mounting beam's tabs. Slide the pegboard down completely
onto the tabs to secure it. (Fig. 21)
4. Insert a large locking pin through the largest of the holes in each back mounting bracket to secure them
to the rack uprights. Follow this by inserting two (2) small locking pins into remaining two (2) holes on
each back mounting bracket to secure them to the pegboard mounting beams. (Fig. 22)

Part 1b: Side Pegboard Panel Assembly (Fig. 22-24)
NOTE: This same process can be used for mounting double side panels.
1. Position one right and one left bracket onto the top two mounting slots of each upright on one side
of the rack with the hanging tab arrows pointing upwards. Slide the side mounting brackets down
completely into the slots to secure them. For the bottom set of mounting brackets, offset them one
slot upwards from the bottom of the rack uprights then follow the same procedure as the top mounting
brackets. (Fig. 22)
2. Take the pegboard and position it to line up the holes on the pegboard with the hanging tabs on the
mounting brackets. Slide the pegboard onto the mounting brackets, and firmly push down on the top of
the pegboard to secure it onto the mounting brackets. (Fig. 23)
3. Insert a large locking pin into the hole on the top of each of the four (4) mounting brackets. (Fig. 24)

Part 2: Pegboard Tool Hangers Installation (Fig. 25)
NOTE: These pegboard tool hangers should not carry excessive weight. If the hangers deform in any fashion,
they should not be used any further.
1. Each tool hanger will have at least one 1/4" peg hook that will be used to locate it on the peg board.
Plan out desired tool hanger locations based on the tools or items that will be stored on them.
2. Slip the peg hook or peg hooks onto the pegboard and let it hang down. If the tool hanger is seated
properly then it should sit flat against the pegboard and not fall.
3. Locate the hole or two holes on the tool hanger. These holes should line up with the pegboard holes.
A locking pin is used for each hole to fully secure the tool hanger to the pegboard. (Fig. 25)
