IMPORTANT

1.
Please read the instructions before using your toaster for the first time and keep
them for future reference.
2.
Danger of electric shock: Never immerse the appliance or parts of the appliance
in water or any other liquid!
3.
Special care is called for when children are around.
4.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is in operation.
5.
Place the toaster on a dry, flat surface.
6.
Never use the appliance out of doors.
7.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before
cleaning.
8.
Never use an appliance that is not working properly or is damaged in any way.
Take the appliance to the after sales service to be repaired. Never try to repair the
appliance yourself; this requires special tools and must be done professionally.
9.
As a safety precaution, be sure to check the cord regularly for visible damage. If
there should be the slightest sign of damage to the mains lead take the appliance
to the after sales service to be repaired.
10. Do not let the power lead hang down from the working surface or come into
contact with hot surfaces. Always let the toaster cool down completely before
winding the cord round the base and putting it away.
11. Never place the appliance on or near a gas or electric stove, in the oven or the
microwave.
12. Never use corrosive or abrasive products to cleaner the appliance.
13. N.B. Slices of bread can catch fire. Take care that there is enough room above
and around the toaster for the air to circulate properly. The appliance must not
come into contact with curtains, wall paper or hangings, kitchen towels or other
combustible objects or materials while it is in operation. Be particularly careful
with heat-sensitive surfaces. Always place on a heat resistant surface.
14. This appliance is for domestic use only. THE TOASTER MAY ONLY BE USED FOR
THE PURPOSE SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER.
15. The crumb tray must be cleaned regularly. Do not allow crumbs to build up in the
crumb tray.
16. Do not toast bakery goods that are spread or filled with jam or similar in this
toaster.
Warning
Never try to remove toast, muffins or bagels with a knife or other instrument when
the toaster is plugged in. This could cause electric shock. Disconnect the toaster
and let it cool down completely before removing the bread or toast caught in the
toaster.
