Safety notes on handling batteries
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death.
Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention

• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not heat batteries.
• Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period of
time unless it is for emergency purposes.
• Always select the correct size and type of battery most suitable for the intended use.
• Information provided with the equipment to assist correct battery selection should
be retained for reference.
• Clean the battery contacts and also those of the equipment prior to battery installation.
• Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –).
• Remove exhausted batteries promptly.
• Do not dismantle batteries.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire except under conditions of approved and
controlled incineration.
• Batteries may be disposed of via communal refuse arrangements provided no
local rules to the contrary exist.
Risk of fire
• Never operate the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket, pillow, etc.
• Never operate the device near petrol or other highly flammable substances.
• We recommend fully unrolling the mains cable to avoid dangerous overheating.
• To reduce the risk of fire, do not place the mains cable near heating registers, radiators,
stoves or radiant heaters.
• Do not operate the device in close proximity to flammable or explosive gas mixtures.
• Keep the device away from sources of heat, as the housing could melt and trigger a fire.
Repairs
• Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs
may subject users to considerable danger. For repairs, please contact Customer
Services or an authorised retailer.
• Do not open the fan unit.
Handling
• After each use and before each time it is cleaned, switch off the device and disconnect
the mains cable from the socket.
• Do not place any objects on the device.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
• Protect the device against sunlight and impact, and do not drop it.
• Never shake the device.
• Place the device on a stable, level and dry surface.
