Adjustment ETW
Empty adjustment - Active area free
When the adjustment with the product to be detected is not possible, an empty adjustment can be made,
e. g. the product to be detected is not known at the first commissioning of the probe / sensor adjustment,
but an overfilling must be excluded. When the level is filled for the first time, we recommend making a full
adjustment so that an optimal adjustment is made with the probe / sensor for the material to be detected.
• The active area of the probe / active surface of the sensor is free.
• Connect the EasyTeach wire with the +Ub and keep it active for approx. 5 seconds until the LED
flashes green. Output A2 is clocking with ca. 1.5 Hz.
• Separate the connection (or switch to 0 V).
• During the initialization process the LED is flashing green with higher frequency. Output A2 is clocking
with ca. 16 Hz.
The empty adjustment is finished when the LED is static green. With this adjustment the probe / sensor
has the largest sensing distance that is possible at the current mounting position. The switching hysteresis
is calculated automatically.
Full adjustment - Active area covered
• The active area of the probe / active surface of the sensor must be covered completely with the product
to be detected or the product must be in the desired position.
• Connect the EasyTeach wire with the +Ub and keep it active for approx. 10 seconds until the LED
flashes yellow. Output A1 is clocking with ca. 1.5 Hz.
• Separate the connection (or switch to 0 V).
• During the initialization process the LED is flashing yellow with a high frequency. Output A1 is clocking
with ca. 16 Hz.
The full adjustment is finished when the LED is static yellow and A1 is high. The sensor is now optimally
adjusted for the detection of the product currently being used and the current mounting conditions. The
switching hysteresis is calculated automatically.
Factory reset
For the factory reset, please do the following steps:
• Connect the EasyTeach wire with the +Ub and keep it active for approx. 15 seconds until the LED
flashes green with double pulses. Output A1 and A2 are pulsing alternately.
• Separate the connection (or switch to 0 V).
The evaluation unit is back in delivery condition.
Test function
The test function can be used to check the connection between the evaluation unit with the control
panel.
• Connect the EasyTeach wire with the +Ub and keep it active until the LED flashes green and yellow
(approx. 20 seconds). Output A1 and A2 are clocking simultaneous with ca. 0.5 Hz.
The test function is activated until you separate the connection.
i
After making the adjustment put the EasyTeach wire on 0 V (-). This prevents unintentional
adjustments on the device.
