1. IMPORTANT NOTICE
We thank you for trusting on us and choosing our DT series power amplifier.
In order to obtain the maximum performance and perfect operation, it is VERY IMPORTANT that
you carefully read this manual before connecting the unit, taking special attention to the following safety
warnings:
Electric shock hazard for the user.
Important safety instructions for installation and maintenance.
We recommend our authorized Technical services if any maintenance task should be needed so
that optimum operation can be achieved.
1.1 Precautions
In order to reduce risk of electric shock, never remove the top cover of the unit. There are no user
serviceable parts inside the amplifier.
Never manipulate the output terminals or connect loudspeakers while the amplifier is on!
Remember that voltages as high as 400Vpp and up to 150A currents can be present at these
outputs. The output cabling should be performed by a qualified technician. Otherwise only use pre-made
flexible cables.
The operating environment must be dry and dust-free. Do not expose the unit to rain or water
splashes, and do not place liquid containers or incandescent objects like candles on top of the unit. Do not
obstruct the ventilation shafts with any kind of material.
The amplifiers, specially the high power models, have a considerable power consumption and
thus, special care must be taken when dimensioning the mains wiring. We recommend a 4mm
(or larger) wire cross-section. The installation should also include a multipole magnetothermic
circuit breaker or switch with a minimum contact separation of 3 mm between each pole and should handle
at least 25 A. These values are for one amplifier and 230VAC.
The amplifier must be linked to a proper earth connection which must also be isolated from other
devices not related to the audio chain (Earth resistance Rg=30 Ω or lower).
This apparatus complies with the 89/336/CEE regulation regarding electromagnetic compatibility
applicable to professional audio equipment.
