In order to prevent the shaft sealing from being damaged, the pump must not run dry.

4.1 Rinse function

When the pump shall be permanently installed in a duct, it is advisable to activate the rinse function!
By means of the rinse function it is avoided that dirt and other solid substances accumulate on the
ground of the duct. As a result, the performance of the pump will slightly reduce.
Activation of rinse function:
- use a slot screwdriver to lever off the bottom screen
- at the marked positions, drill holes (Ø 5 mm) in the bottom of the pump

4.2 Check valve

In order to prevent liquid from flowing back from the hose / piping after switching off the pump, the
enclosed check valve can be installed.
- remove the 90° connection bracket
- with the flat side first, put the check valve into the pressure socket
- fasten the check valve by means of the enclosed screw
- screw the 90° connection bracket again onto the pressure socket
- VECTIS 600/800: insert the non-return valve between the pressure outlet and the threaded nipple
