CARE AND CLEANING

The device requires no special care. Coarse particles of dirt such as sand should be
removed with a fine brush or blown away. Fingerprints or similar on objective and
eyepiece lenses can be pre-cleaned with a damp cloth and then wiped off with a soft,
clean chamois or dust-free cloth.
Check the battery compartment for contamination and humidity and clean and dry it if
necessary.
Perform the built in test in order to check if the device and display work properly.

à Do not exert excessive pressure, even when wiping very dirty lens surfaces.
Although the coating is highly abrasion-resistant, it can nevertheless be damaged
by sand or salt crystals.
à The housing should be cleaned only using a damp cloth. There is a risk of static
charges if dry cloths are used.
à Alcohol and other chemical solutions must not be used to clean the lens surfaces or
the housing.
