à Range Gate
In certain situations it might be useful to set a range gate to suppress for example
unwanted range measurements to obstacles (e.g. fences, bushes) in the line of sight.
Only distances beyond the set range gate value will be displayed. The range gate
can be disabled.
à Declination
The inbuilt digital magnetic compass determines the azimuth in reference to
magnetic north. In order to get the corresponding azimuth in reference to grid north
or true north, the corresponding declination value for the current location has to be
entered.
TERRApIN X and Nielsen-kellermann / kestrel weather Meter
The TERRAPIN X is able to communicate with certain Kestrel Weather Meter models
and provide measurement data. For the setup, follow the instructions of the correspon-
ding Kestrel Weather Meter device.
