Tips
If a crispy cone does not turn out right, there
may be many reasons for this. The following
section provides some tips for successful crispy
cones.
·
Certain batter consistencies (e.g. batter contai-
ning too many nuts, fruits, fruit acids, etc.) can
hinder the effectiveness of the non-stick coa-
10
ting. In that case, reduce the amount of such
ingredients.
·
Use only premium quality flour.
·
Make sure to have all ingredients at the same
temperature, and mix the batter until it is
smooth. Use melted butter that is lukewarm.
·
For crispy crispy cones, do not use milk. Milk will
make the crispy cones soft.
·
The batter should be thick, but should drip from
the spoon. Fill the baking form completely with
batter. A small serving spoon is ideal.
·
You can store crispy cones for several weeks wi-
thout a problem provided you keep them in a
tightly sealed container or pot.
·
Fillings for sweet crispy cones:
– ice cream, whipped cream, butter cream,
fruit
·
Fillings for zesty crispy cones:
– salads (meat or vegetable salad), cheese, as-
paragus
