Dear Customer,
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Country from Schnitzer, a german quality product.
When developing this mill we paid especial attention to optimizing its functionality and the design.
This was helped greatly by our more than forty years of experience in the field of grain mills for
household use.
Before using the Country, please read through the following recommendations carefully and keep
these instructions for use at hand. If you need more information please do not hesitate to contact us
or your specialist trader.
Your Schnitzer Team
Material to be ground and milling capacity
The Country mill is suited for milling all types of grain of the size of wheat and smaller as well as corn
(except popcorn).
Please use only cleaned grain. Uncleaned grain often contains small stones which may damage the grin-
ding stones of your mill.
Use only dry grain. Damp grain may smear the millstones.
Oil-containing seeds can be ground on their own at the medium to coarse setting and mixed (1:1) with
other grains at the fines setting.
For dry cereals the grinding capacity at the finest setting and 80 revolutions is 50g/min and for coarse
setting 100g/min.

Putting into operation

Before using the mill for the first time, please brush it with a dry brush.
Clamp the mill to the projecting edge of a table using both table clamps.
The grain mill is set as to be ready for operation and is adjusted in such a way that it grinds the finest
possible flour at setting 0. The degree of fineness can be adjusted continuously between 0 and 6 (coarse).
After chosen your setting, fill in cereals into the funnel and turn handle clockwise.
Readjusting the degree of fineness
If the finest possible grinding result is not achieved any longer after prolongated use, the degree of fine-
ness can be corrected.
Remove the setting button by a sharp pull. The slotted screw, located in the hexagon bolt, has to be tur-
ned to the right through max. 30° clockwise.
Then put on the setting button slightly and turn to the left as far as it will go. Remove scale disk from the
milling cone and make the zero point of the scale coincide with the pointer of the setting button. Slide on
setting button completely.
