Wash hand thoroughly after using the
sprayer, especially before eating.
•
Wash contaminated clothing.
•
Do not spray over food or food
preparations.
•
When spraying crops, follow the
chemical manufacturers' advice on
how soon you can pick and eat the
crops after spraying.
•
Do not spray any solvent based
material such as white spirit.
•
Mix the chemical prior to use in a
separate container and always fill the
sprayer.
•
After use with chemicals discard any
unused solution safely and thoroughly
clean the sprayer by spraying a little
detergent and warm (not hot) water.
Repeat the spraying using clean and
cold water.
•
Before and after use ensure all
connection are tight, replacing any
worn parts.
•
Never fill the sprayer with hot liquids
(max 30°C).
•
Powdered chemical can be used,
providing it is fully soluble. The sprayer
has a built in agitator paddle.
•
Your sprayer is manufactured from
many different types of plastic material
and although the liquid you may wish
to use may be packed in plastic this is
not a guarantee that it will not damage
the sprayer. If you are in any doubt
about any material you intend to spray
we recommend you write to our
consumer services department at the
address given to check its suitability.
MAINTENANCE
•
Occasionally the pump will require
lubrication. First depressurize the
system by squeezing the trigger. Then
remove the R clips and washers from
the top and bottom of the link rod.
Remove the link rod. Keep the pump
handle in place. Unscrew the pump
cap but do not remove. Pull out the
pump assembly by pulling out the
piston from the pump sleeve. Slide the
pump cap to one side to expose three
seals. Apply silicon grease and then
reassemble.

The lance handle can be dismantled to
clean or lubricate the filter by
unscrewing the rear body of the
assembly. Take care not to lose the
valve spring.
•
If the hose is damaged or worn and
needs to be replaced loosen the hose
nut slide them along the hose until the
damaged part can be cut off using a
sharp knife, refit the hose over the
outlets and retighten the nut(s).
•
To maintain good performance ensure
that the vent holes in the filler cap are
free form obstructions. In the event of
failure of the non-return valve,
indicated by a lack of pumping
pressure remove the pump cylinder as
described, and push out the damaged
valve. The new valve should be fitted
from the inside of the chamber
ensuring that the central spigot is fully
located. Reassemble the pump
ensuring the O-Ring seal is not
displaced. If the non return valve in the
piston is damaged consult VARAS.
•
Keep the nozzle free from
obstructions.
•
Drain all liquid from all parts of the
sprayer after use to prevent frost
damage.
•
At least once a year thoroughly clean
the whole sprayer and re-grease all
moving parts, replace any damaged
seals.

ENVIRONMENT
Should your machine need replacement after
exceeded use, do not put it in the domestic
waste but dispose of it in an environmentally
safe way.
