12 Mains connection
For connecting the supplied mains cable. The
safety fuse should only be changed by qualified
service personnel.
13 Power switch
Switches the device on and sets it in the
standby mode. If the switch is set to the „OFF"
position, the device is disconnected from the
mains supply.
14 Firmware upgrade port
Used exclusively by the manufacturer to install
new firmware. Note: no audio function!
15 USB input
For use of the integrated digital/analogue
converter on a computer. When the driver
has been installed on your computer, the
McD 1050 can be selected as a device for audio
playback under the operating system settings.
The drivers for Windows can be downloaded
from the McD 1050's download section at
http://www.magnat.de.
16/17 Digital audio inputs
For use of the integrated digital/analogue
converter for external devices. The signal
reproduced via the optical (16) or coaxial
(17) digital input is emitted at the digital audio
outputs (18, 19) as well as at the analogue
audio outputs (20).
18/19 Digital audio outputs
For the connection of external devices via the
optical (18) or coaxial (19) digital output.
20 Analogue Audio Outputs
RcA output jacks for connection to a hi-fi audio
amplifier.

• Before using the remote control the supplied
batteries must be inserted into the battery
compartment located at the rear of the
remote control.
• If the batteries have run out after prolonged
use, please replace them (type AAA).
• To prevent causing damage to the remote
control please remove the batteries if the
device is not going to be used for a prolonged
period.
21 Power
Switches the device on when it is in the standby
mode. If the LED does not illuminate, actuate
the power switch located on the rear of the
device. conversely the device can be switched
from power operation to the standby mode.

22 Display
This button can be used to switch to the
second display mode or switch the display off
completely.
23 Numerical buttons
Direct selection of a track.
24 192k (Upsampling mode)
Activate or deactivate the upsampling mode.
When the upsampling mode is active the
audio signals from cDs and the digital audio
inputs (15, 16, 17) are upsampled internally to
192kHz/24 bit to maximise the sound quality.
„192kHz" appears in the display:
The upsampling mode does not have any effect
on the digital audio outputs (18, 19).
25 Rep
Track/cD repeat playback (repeat function):
Press once: The current track is repeated.
The following appears in the display:
Press twice: The entire cD is repeated.
The following appears in the display:
Press again: The repeat function is deactivated.
26 CD-INPUT
Switches between the cD mode and the three
digital audio inputs (15, 16, 17). The input and/
or mode currently selected is indicated in the
display.
