WARNING
!
Danger of electric shock from installing
the LDS 45 O and LDS 45 K inside the pro-
tective zone. No IP protection present
(IP 00). The room air control may only be
installed outside protective zones 0, 1 or 2.
When wiring several ventilation units,
i
always use a deep/double recessed-
mounted box (recessed-mounted box
provided by customer).
Strip wires of connection cables suffi-
i
ciently.
9.7 Connecting room air controls
LDS 45 O and LDS 45 K controls
i
with 230 V. Note safety requirements
in Chapter 9.6.
Wired systems
An LDS 45 O or LDS 45 K master room air
control can have a maximum of 3 further
power units and/or slave room air controls of
a similar design added to it.
A maximum of 4 control units can therefore be
deployed in this ventilation system.
You can only combine room air con-
i
trols of the same type (either LDS 45 O
or LDS 45 K).
The LDS 45 K controls and all other room air
controls/power units are connected via the
RS 485 interface.
If further room air controls are connect-
i
ed, these must be defined as slaves in
service mode Operating instructions
or commissioning instructions.
The relevant ventilation units are connected to
the relevant room air controls. The ventilation
units on an LDS 45 O/K are generally con-
nected directly to the Fan1 and Fan2 terminal
block.
Radio-controlled systems with LD 45 K
control and LD 45 EO-ER radio module
External radio sensors and LD 45 RC units
can be connected to the LD 30 BK with these
unit combinations.
Connections
For possible combinations Chapter 7.
To install the room air control, we always
recommend using a deep recessed-mounted
box. If connecting more than 2 units, we
recommend wiring in another recessed-
mounted box.
LD 30 ventilation units are not suitable
i
for use with LD 45 LT power units.
Connecting LDS 45 O
LDS 45 O room air control is used to activate
LD 30 BO units.
1. Take off frame of room air control.
2. Connect the LDs according to the wiring
diagram ( Appendix).
The exhaust air function is only possi-
i
ble if a LD 30 BO is connected (service
mode setting for unit type = LD 30 BO
and number of units = 1).
3. Insert room air control in the re-
cessed-mounted box and screw down to
recessed-mounted box with 2 screws.
4. Fit frame. Ensure that the sensor opening
is above the LD 45 HYI (if fitted) and that
the frame engages.
5. Start up ventilation system Chapter 10.
