Always unplug the tool before
replacing the collet.
Switching on and off
To switch the machine on, set the on/off switch
(1) to 'I'.
To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch
(1) to '0'.
Adjusting the speed
This machine has been fitted with an adjusting
wheel (2) for the maximum speed.
§ Turn the adjusting wheel (2) as indicated on
switch (1) to set the maximum speed.
§ Choose a low speed for working wood and
plastics.
§ Also choose a low speed for polishing.
Polishing
A polishing wheel is used for polishing metal and
plastic workpieces.
A mandrel is used for mounting a polishing wheel.
_
Place the mandrel (13) in the collet nut (6).
_
Place a polishing wheel (18) on the screw.
Cutting and sanding
A cutting disc is used for cutting metal, plastic,
wooden and stone workpieces. A sanding disc is
used for sanding wooden and plastic workpieces. A
mandrel is used for mounting a cutting disc or
sanding disc.
_
Place the mandrel (14) in the collet nut (6).
_
Loosen the screw on the mandrel.
_
Place a cutting disc (20) or sanding disc (19) on
the screw.
_
Place the screw on the mandrel and tighten it.
Deburring
A grinding disc for deburring is used for removing
burrs from metal workpieces. A mandrel is used for
mounting a grinding disc for deburring.
_
Place the mandrel (14) in the collet nut (6).
_
Loosen the screw on the mandrel.
_
Place a grinding disc for deburring (21) on the
screw.
_
Place the screw on the mandrel and tighten it.
Drilling
A drill bit is used to drill holes in plastic, wooden and
stone workpieces.
_
Place a drill bit (9) in the collet nut (6).
Routing
A router bit is used for grooving and for routing
figures in plastic,
wooden and metal workpieces.
_
Place a router bit (12) in the collet nut (6).
Engraving
An engraving needle is used for engraving figures in
metal workpieces.
_
Place an engraving needle (15) in the collet nut
(6).
Grinding and sanding
A grinding stone is used for grinding metal, or a wire
brush,plastic, wooden and stone workpieces. A
sanding band is used for sanding wooden and
plastic
workpieces.
_
Place a grinding stone (10) or sanding band with
mandrel (11) in the collet nut (6).
By using a metallic brush (14bis), you can sand the
metal parts.
Replacing a sanding band
A sanding band must be replaced when showing
signs of wear.
_
Remove the old sanding band from the mandrel.
_
Place the new sanding band (17) on the mandrel.
Using the grinding stone
_
Use the grinding stone for removing burrs and
other irregularities on the workpiece.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

§ Only qualified specialist personnel and original
replacement parts should be used for repairs. This

Cleaning
§ Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft
cloth, preferably after each use. Keep the
ventilation slots free from dust and dirt. If the dirt
does not come off use a soft cloth
moistened with soapy water. Never use solvents
such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water,
etc. These solvents may damage the plastic parts.
Lubrication
The machine requires no additional lubrication.
Checking and replacing the carbon brushes
The carbon brushes must be checked on a regular
basis.

Remove the carbon brush holders and clean the
carbon brushes.
_
In case of wear, replace both carbon brushes at
the same time.
_
Mount the carbon brush holders.
_
After mounting new carbon brushes, let
the machine run at no load for 15 minutes.
Use only the correct type of
power plug.
