Before the actuator can be moved manually for servicing or adjustment, the
supply voltage must be connected to the board. The LED above terminals 15
and 16 lights when the supply voltage is present.
If the KALIBRIERFAHRT (Calibration cycle) button is pressed and held be-
fore the supply voltage is switched on, the actuator moves to the position
OPEN and then back to the position CLOSED. During these movements, the
processor counts the number of steps needed for the currently set opening
angle. The actuator is set in the factory for an opening angle of 90°. From the
data of the CALIBRATION cycle, the processor determines the number of
steps needed to move to any specified setpoint.
During the CALIBRATION cycle, the status LED blinks rapidly.
If either of the buttons AUF (Open) or ZU (Close) is pressed, the setpoint
signal at terminal 13 is ignored. The actuator can then be moved only manu-
ally, by pressing one of the above buttons.
Applying a 24 V DC/AC signal to terminal 8 or 9 has the same effect (option-
al).
If MANUAL mode is active, the status LED blinks slowly to indicate this
status.
The actuator can now be moved in the desired direction by pressing the ap-
propriate button. The actuator stops moving when the button is released and
remains in the current position until one of the buttons is pressed again or un-
til it is switched back to AUTOMATIK (automatic) mode. If the actuator hits
one of the limit switches S1 or S2, it stops. The actuator cannot be moved
past the limit switches.
The factory settings of the actuator have already been mentioned above. If
you want to make customer-specific settings, you must first switch the actuat-
or to MANUAL mode.
In manual mode, you can then adjust the cam of the appropriate limit switch
with the aid of the adjusting screw F (see Section 3).
To extend the range of operation, turn screw F outwards and then advance
the actuator again until it stopped by the limit switch.
It is not normally necessary to adjust the stud S, since the adjusting screw
can be turned endlessly.
After adjustment of the opening angle, the actuator must always be calib-
rated again as described above, since the number of steps for a given set-
point must be changed to match the new opening angle.
MANUAL mode is not terminated automatically!
It must be terminated actively by pressing the two buttons AUF (Open) and
ZU (Close) simultaneously.
Momentary connection of a 24V DC/AC signal to terminals 8 and 9 has the
same effect (optional).
After about three seconds, the actuator then returns to AUTOMATIC mode
and immediately reacts to the control signal at terminal 13. The status LED
no longer blinks.
